Back in January, a bidding war was launched on Haley Spades’ booty.
The petite princess had made it known that she was ready to shoot her first anal scene. One by one, studios lined up and made their pitch, and eventually a winning suitor was chosen.
Not because of a high price.
But rather, an enticing proposition.
“Why stop with anal?” Steve Legos, the Chief Marketing Officer at BANG!, told Spades. “What about a DP? What about a gangbang? Let’s go all out!”
Legos chuckles when asked to describe Spades’ reaction to the offer.
“I don’t think she anticipated it,” he tells PornCrush. “But she was definitely excited.”
Just like that, Spades’ quest to unlock her backdoor had morphed into an entire showcase for the 4-foot-8 bundle of spunk.
The first episode of the four-scene project—Spades’ anal hookup with Codey Steele—drops today on BANG! The showcase also includes a five-on-one gangbang, a double penetration romp with Seth Gamble and Isiah Maxwell and an all-girl tryst with Demi Morgan and Bella Blu. The network will release those scenes, each of which includes anal, one by one weekly throughout the month.
“Our members are getting something special, because these are all ‘firsts’ for Haley,” Legos says. “She’s going to get a lot of attention for this, and we’re happy to be the ones to deliver it.”
Granted, none of it would’ve happened if Spades wouldn’t have decided to take the anal plunge. The New Orleans native and former stripper—who has shot more than 160 scenes since debuting two years ago—says she needed something to boost her motivation.
“I felt kind of stagnant in my career,” Spades, 24, tells PornCrush. “It wasn’t slowing down. I was still getting bookings. But honestly … I was starting to get bored.”
Spades says she told Dave Rock, her agent with Motley Models, at the AVN convention in January that she was “ready to do the anal thing.” She spent the next month training and stretching while Rock began to shop her first scene.
BANG! was among the first to jump at the opportunity.
Legos, though, wanted to make more than the standard offer. He was determined to come up with something special to entice Spades, a fast-ascending star with nearly 250,000 combined followers on Twitter and Instagram. Not only would BANG! provide an opportunity to shoot an entire showcase, but he vowed the studio would spare no expense.
Spades was told Hall of Fame cameraman Chris Streams would be commissioned for the project and that she’d be allowed to choose her own scene partners. Perhaps most enticing to Spades was that the teases and pretty-girl photos would be shot in fresh, never-used-in-porn “pure spaces” throughout Los Angeles, giving off an elegant, high-end vibe.
“It was a nice changeup from the classic, one-location shoots,” Spades said. “They made me feel really special, like a princess, like a star. I love getting super-dolled-up and doing a tease at one location and then getting destroyed hours later on a porn set.”
Legos says he has no doubt that Spades’ performances in the showcase are among the best of her career to date. He marveled at her lust and intensity at the all-girl scene with Morgan and Blu, which featured dildos, multiple positions and quivering orgasms.
“I told Chris, ‘I don’t know what you gave her that morning, but she was in a different zone. She was suck-hungry and cock drunk with those strap-ons. It was incredible,’” Legos says.
Legos says Spades took Maxwell’s massive member in her ass during the DP. And the gangbang, he says, was initially supposed to be four-on-one. But when an extra cast member showed up amid some scheduling confusion, Spades insisted on adding him to the mix.
“She was giddy and giggling like a kid on Christmas morning,” Legos says. “She even requested an airtight. She wanted all of her holes filled. That’s what you want from a performer. You want them to be into it, and Haley definitely was. She was eager for everything.”
Spades says she wasn’t just doing anal for the paycheck. She’s learned that she actually loves it. There’s no question that more anal scenes are in Spades’ future, but she wants to take her time. She jokes that a few folks on Twitter were disappointed she didn’t pick someone such as Dredd for her first anal scene.
“These anal fans are vicious,” she laughs. “They come out of the woodwork. Once you start, it’s ‘more, more, more.’ When the trailer for the first scene came out, people didn’t realize there were more scenes coming. I think everyone will be satisfied once everything is out.”
Indeed, Spades showcase scenes will be featured prominently on the BANG! website throughout the month. As special as it is for Spades, the project is also meaningful for BANG!, as this is the network’s first foray into the showcase genre. If things go well, Legos says he envisions BANG! shooting one or two showcases each year.
“The whole month is Haley’s,” Legos says. “Everywhere you turn, people are saying her name more and more. And they’re really going to be talking about her now. She’s going to gain a lot of traction from this.
“And hopefully we will, too.”
