For the first time in 13 years, Riley Reynolds woke up one morning last week and didn’t have a slew of unread text messages on his cell phone.
“It was a strange feeling,” Reynolds told PornCrush Monday evening. “But also kind of nice.”
Reynolds was just 22 when he founded Hussie Models in 2013, and for more than a decade, he never stopped grinding. Bookings, recruiting, problem solving. Some days Reynolds spent more time on his phone than off of it.
The job was taxing.
But Reynolds loved it.
He embraced it.
Until last summer—when Reynolds started thinking about walking away.
“I was just tired,” he said. “I was ready to have an easier life.”
Reynolds, whose stage name is Brian Omally, finally took that step last week when he agreed to sell Hussie Models to Alex Mack, who had been working under Reynolds as an agent the past two years.
Reached Monday, Mack confirmed the sale to PornCrush but declined to comment further, noting that the agency may rebrand, and that he will provide further details once that happens.
Reynolds. meanwhile, isn’t leaving the industry entirely. He will continue to run his three pay sites—Rave Bunnys, Hussie Pass and See Him Fuck—while channeling more attention toward his burgeoning career as a DJ. Reynolds has been taking lessons from an instructor for more than a year now and is also enrolled in music production classes. He’s been getting gigs on a regular basis at clubs in the Miami area.
“I’m excited to work on my music and work on my pay sites and be an average, normal person,” Reynolds, 36, said.
“Normal” hardly describes Reynolds’ journey through the adult industry. He said he was at a low point in life—“I had nothing going for me”—when started Hussie in 2013. Only 22, he was believed to be the youngest agent in history.
“At first everyone just looked at me like I was a dumb kid,” he said. “I came in as an underdog. I was probably the underdog. I wasn’t really respected, so I had to work hard and earn my respects from the other agents over the years, and I think I did that.”
Reynolds found himself in the national spotlight in 2015 when he was featured in “Hot Girls Wanted,” a documentary that chronicled the lives of aspiring adult stars as they entered the business. The documentary debuted at the Sundance Film Festival and was later picked up by Netflix.
Many porn insiders were critical of the film, saying it that painted the industry in a bad light. Nonetheless, the exposure gave Hussie Models an unusually visible place in the broader culture, making it one of the rare agencies with name recognition beyond the adult industry.
“He came out of nowhere and grew a decent little business,” AVN Hall of Fame agent Mark Spiegler said. “He had a few missteps, which is natural. But I never thought he was a bad person.”
By the early 2020s, Hussie Models had blossomed into one of the top 3-5 agencies in porn and was undoubtedly the most popular agency for Florida-based performers. Some of the industry’s biggest stars started their careers with Hussie, which also represents many of porn’s top male performers. And in 2022 Reynolds turned heads by becoming one of the first agency’s to sign a trans talent when he added Brittney Kade to his roster. Three years later, Kade was named AVN’s Trans Performer of the Year.
“Riley’s decision to sign me was a major trajectory point in my career,” Kade told PornCrush. “But even more so, it was a huge step toward the overall inclusivity we’re seeing in the industry now. I’ll always be grateful to him for that.”
Reynolds said he’s confident the agency will be in good hands with Mack—who is also a prominent male talent—running the show.
“I personally think he’s the best agent in the business,” Reynolds said of Mack. “I wouldn’t have it any other way.”
Mack is hardly inheriting a downtrodden company, as Hussie’s current roster features many of the most recognizable names in the industry such as Jewelz Blu, Melissa Stratton, Nicole Doshi, Molly Little and Lily Lou. In fact, many of Hussie’s A-listers are performers Mack helped sign.
Arguably no performer, though, as been with Hussie as long as fan favorite Chloe Temple, who has spent her entire eight-year career with the agency. As excited as she for Reynolds as he embarks on a new journey, Temple told PornCrush said she’s sad to see him go.
“There’s a reason I’ve stayed with Hussie for so long,” she said, “and it’s because of how good of an agent and friend Riley has been to me since 2018. He worked hard and changed this industry for the better. And I’ll miss him. It will be weird to still be here without him as my boss man.”
