Some performers spend years working up the nerve to step in front of a camera. Ophelia Fae practically walked a red carpet to get there. A self-described true LA girl—vegan, lesbian, a roller skater and a painter—the 25-year-old traded a soul-crushing climb up the corporate ladder for a career she says she was always meant to have.

Laid off from a six-figure-track sales job the Tuesday after Thanksgiving and evacuated from her home during the LA fires, Ophelia got scouted, landed an invite to a star-studded Holly Randall party and was photographed on the red carpet before she’d ever shot a scene. She made her debut on Valentine’s Day and hasn’t looked back, marking her one-year pornoversary on the very same holiday this year.

Our resident Q-and-A guru Captain Jack recently sat down with the switchy, MILF-loving exhibitionist to talk coming out, corporate burnout, her first scene and exactly what gets her wet.

Enjoy!

Captain Jack: Tell me about Ophelia Fae.

Ophelia: I’m from LA originally. I spent some time in Northern California, but mainly from LA. I am just a true LA girl in all the ways. I think just being a lesbian is pretty LA of me. (laughs) I’m a vegan, I love to roller skate, and I paint, so you can say a true California girl through and through.

CJ: How old are you?

Ophelia: I’m 25.

CJ: How long have you been shooting now?

Ophelia: I hit my one-year pornoversary on Valentine’s Day.

CJ: Are you lesbian in real life?

Ophelia: Yes.

CJ: Have you ever been with a guy?

Ophelia: Yes. I was pretty closeted in middle and high school and I convinced myself in thinking I was straight for a while. I didn’t convince anyone around me but I convinced myself. So, I gave guys a solid effort through college but the more experience I had with both genders, the more clear it was in what I liked and did not like. By the time I was 18, I came to terms with the fact that I’m into girls and by the time I was 20, I came to terms with the fact that I was not into dudes.

CJ: Nowadays, it’s no big deal to be a lesbian but even 10 years ago, you were looked at differently because of that.

Ophelia: Yeah. Lana Smalls and I actually talked about this because we went to high school in a similar overall area. And the community that we grew up in was this weird middle ground where the gay boys, they weren’t out but it was an unspoken truth that everyone knew but they got to hang out with the popular girls. But if you were a girl that liked girls, that was weird and gross and icky and bad. It was a very strange nuance environment that conditioned me.

CJ: When was the first time you were with a girl?

Ophelia: My first time with a girl was 18.

CJ: Once you got that one in, did you really start exploring your sexuality after that?

Ophelia: Yes. I immediately realized that I was into girls from that point forward. Honestly, I wasn’t super active before porn in general. I would have one night stands here and there but, especially with women, I found it hard to find girls that I was interested in or that would take initiative for things to go anywhere. A lot of girls were intimidated by me or wanted me to play more of a masculine role in the dynamic which wasn’t my thing. And I also noticed that I tend to be most attracted to other women who are in the industry who have that natural, intense sexual energy to them.

CJ: You started porn at 24, did you have any professional jobs before then?

Ophelia: I graduated from college when I was 20 but from the ages from 18-24, I worked a few different sales and marketing jobs in the food and beverage world. I was doing well on paper; I moved up the corporate ladder on my way to a 6-figure salary position but I hated every second of it. The last one that I worked, the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, it was 9pm and I got laid off. I was also staying with my family because the fires were happening in LA. I was evacuated from my home, I was in between jobs but looking at the next step in my journey, I was thinking, am I going to do another one of these jobs that I hate where I can feel my soul being crushed and it was just going to chew me up and spit me out. I didn’t want to waste my youth so I was still looking for stuff but was posting on Instagram to make an OnlyFans for the art modeling photos that I did. But then I ended up getting scouted by some people who, long story short, got me invited to a party that was hosted by Holly Randall that had a red carpet which meant that the second I got back to LA, I could meet with all the top connections possible in the industry. I was also labeled and photographed as a performer on the red carpet before even shooting a single scene. So, it was too good of an opportunity to say no to and too visible of an opportunity to dip my toe in. I just decided at that point to get into it and got an agent and had my first scene on Valentine’s Day.

CJ: So, what was your first scene like? You were sexually experienced but it’s different with all these people around. Were you intimidated? Nervous? Turned on?

Ophelia: I was surprised at how much not-nervous I was. It was with ExCoGi and they’re one of the classic firsts. I’m super grateful that my first co-star was genuinely bi in Amber Moore. She’s super sweet and super friendly. 24’s young but it’s very solidly grown at the same time. I knew the reasons I was getting into this, I already let all of the people that I care about in my life know and I got started with a true sense of this is what I was meant to do. That first scene just affirmed that to me. I was really comfortable and had an amazing time.

CJ: How did you come up with your stage name?

Ophelia: I was originally going to do Fleur like flower because I was originally just going to do Suicide Girls and being on an art modeling track with this all being more of a side hustle. I already had the last name Fae but my agent at the time said that I needed a more namey name and I went through names with more of an F sound to them and ‘Ophelia’ sounded right to me.

CJ: Have you ever been in an inappropriate sexual relationship?

Ophelia: I don’t think I’ve had any IRL taboo situations.

CJ: Do you prefer working with girls your own age or the MILFs of the industry?

Ophelia: I would say my personal preference is to work with women my age or older. In my personal life, I’m most attracted to women that are 5 to 10 years older than me and I also love, love, love working with MILFs of course. I tend to personally go for women that are more dominant but I can also have a great time being the one that takes either the more leader or troublemaker, depending on what the plot requires. I enjoy being switchy and I like being in this industry allows me to explore that other side. The thing I couldn’t live without are women that are a bit older than me and more in control.

CJ: What do you like sexually? What gets Ophelia wet?

Ophelia: I like a wide range. Everyone likes romance, passion, all that sort of stuff, but I really do like doing something that is more hardcore. I really enjoy strap; I love being strapped hard, I love being tied, I really enjoy impact play and electro stuff. I love the camera. I’ve had times where I was working with girls who were really new and really nervous and wouldn’t necessarily be able to get the job done just by themselves and if I just thought enough about the camera, I could get myself there almost as some sort of meditation. (laughs) Knowing that I’m being watched is really hot for me but, even more, it’s knowing that I’m being filmed and knowing it’s a production. I love the feeling of being made into this pretty, perfect doll to be presented to the audience.

CJ: If a fan would come up to you and tell you that he masturbated to you, that’s hot to you?

Ophelia: Knowing that I’m turning someone on and knowing that I’m making them cum is more hot to me than thinking about the mechanics of what they’re doing.

CJ: How often do you masturbate?

Ophelia: Usually at least nightly. That’s my own time, right before bed is a regular thing. Obviously, if I’m filming then it will be more. If I’m really trying to save up all my sexual energy before a big shoot then I’ll hold myself off. (laughs)

CJ: Favorite method?

Ophelia: I am a Rose toy girl. They’re a suctioning toy almost. A Hitachi is fun but I can get fried by it if I use it too frequently. The Rose is a good go-to. I can use that every single night and know that I’ll be good to go if I get a last minute booking.

CJ: Did you watch porn before you got into the industry?

Ophelia: Only when I was researching. I am very much of an exhibitionist and not much of a watcher myself. So, for me, it was more like, ‘Oh yeah, I can do that!’ I watch my own stuff now to see how I did and it’s like an athlete watching tape. Or, if I’m really proud of it, then I’ll want to watch it. Sometimes I get turned on by my own scenes but I never before watched it for material before I got into porn.

CJ: When performing with a woman, do you prefer it to be just the two of you or do you like toys?

Ophelia: It really depends. We can have a great time just with what we’ve got. I like strap-ons but I don’t really care for the hand held dildo as much. At that point, I’d rather you just use your fingers to fuck me. I do like the feeling of getting railed with something bigger than fingers. The Hitachi can also be fun. I like that more if I’m doing full-on BDSM play or if I’m doing something hardcore already. To me, the Hitachi isn’t a vanilla accessory. Other than that, I don’t really use other toys when I’m with a girl. For me, they’re more add-ons for sensations that the body can’t replicate. (laughs)

CJ: Are you a fan of tribbing?

Ophelia: Yes. I think that it really depends on who I’m with because I think that tribbing is 90% chemistry especially if it’s in porn. The more porny that tribbing is, the more the actual chemistry matters because there’s usually less actual friction happening. Whether it’s grinding on someone’s hip or thigh as foreplay or full-on scissoring, it’s never a bad time but the thing that makes it a great time is the chemistry that’s already there.

CJ: What do you look for in a girl off camera?

Ophelia: Honestly, I’m not really a casual person anymore because I think being in porn, especially being a lesbian in porn, I don’t really do the casual hook-up thing. I have so many friends that are also in the industry where I could go hookup with this person that I love and loves me and we could have our iPhones rolling during it or making it more of a production and make money off it versus throwing myself to the apps and then waiting to get a text back. Outside of collabs, I’d really only be interested in something serious and I’m not seeking that out actively.

CJ: And how can the fans follow you on social media?

Ophelia: On X, I’m @OpheliaFae888. Instagram is @Ophelia.Fae. OnlyFans is OpheliaFae.xoxo
