Nearly a year after being photographed with multiple award trophies, Vanna Bardot flashed an even bigger prize when she walked the red carpet at last month's AVN and XBIZ pre-nom parties.

An engagement ring.

Following a courtship that lasted more than five years, Bardot and fellow performer Codey Steele officially became hitched in October during a trip to Waikiki.

And get this: She proposed to him.

“We were on the beach watching the sunrise,” Steele told PornCrush. “She was super nervous. She was like, ‘I don’t know the right way to do this,’ so she just asked. It was a very special moment, very meaningful.”

News of Bardot and Steele’s engagement hardly surprised their inner circle. They began dating more than five years ago, in August of 2019, and have held strong ever since.

Steele actually proposed to Bardot in December 2023, but with lingering grief from her mother's recent passing, along with other work demands and stressors, the couple agreed that an engagement, at least at that time, didn’t feel appropriate.

“We both knew it would happen eventually,” Steele said. “It was just a matter of when.”

Steele and Bardot—the reigning AVN and XBIZ Performer of the Year— have managed to stay together despite working in an industry that often makes relationships challenging.

“Communication has been the biggest thing for us, especially in this industry,” Steele said. “Taking time for ourselves has also been important. It’s healthy to get away sometimes.”
